Ghanaian international Christopher Antwi-Adjei has begun negotiations with Belgian club Standard Liege for a potential move during the current transfer window.

The 30-year-old winger is currently a free agent after parting ways with German side Bochum at the end of his contract last season.

Antwi-Adjei and Bochum mutually agreed to separate after the conclusion of the recent campaign, leaving him free to explore new opportunities ahead of the 2024/25 football season.

The experienced winger arrived in Belgium on Tuesday to engage in discussions with Standard Liege regarding a possible transfer this summer.

According to reports, talks are progressing positively, with Antwi-Adjei aiming to finalize terms with the Belgian Jupiler Pro League club.

During his tenure at Bochum last season, Antwi-Adjei made 25 appearances, contributing two goals and two assists as the club narrowly avoided relegation.

If negotiations are successful, Antwi-Adjei will bring his pace and experience to bolster Standard Liege's squad for the upcoming season in Belgium's top flight.
