Ghana's aspirations in the 2024 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations came to a disappointing conclusion following a defeat to Angola on Monday.

In a pivotal encounter, Ghana aimed to clinch victory to progress from the group stage, but they encountered another setback, succumbing to an 11-3 loss against Angola.

Angola, buoyed by their prior victory over Zambia, asserted their dominance over Ghana, effectively ending their campaign in the tournament.

With six points, Angola secured the second spot in the group standings, trailing behind group leaders Morocco, who also emerged victorious against Zambia.

Ghana, unable to notch any points in the tournament, faced defeats against Zambia, hosts Morocco, and now Angola.

Despite the setbacks, the experience gained at the tournament will undoubtedly contribute to the growth and development of futsal in the West African nation, especially considering Ghana's nascent Futsal League, which is only a year old.

Looking ahead, the semi-finals will see Morocco facing the Group B runners-up, while Angola will square off against the Group B winners.

These pivotal matches are scheduled for Friday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Hall, promising further excitement and fierce competition in the tournament.
