Ghana's group opponents Egypt have announced their list of players that will represent the country in the upcoming U-23 Afcon tournament that will come up in their homeland.

Head coach Shawky Gharib named a squad that is predominantly made up of local players but conspicuously missing from the squad is Ismaily’s highly rated duo of Mohamed Sadek and teammate Ahmed Ayman.

Egypt will play the tournament opener against Mali on 8 November at the Cairo International Stadium.

They will then lock horns with Ghana's Black Meteors three days later before clashing with Cameroon on 14 November.

Group B contains Nigeria, Zambia, Ivory Coast and South Africa.

The three best teams will qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Games.
