Anyone who will give leads to the arrest and prosecution of the murderers of the driver of Karaga District Chief Executive (DCE), Issah Ziblim will be given GH¢10,000, the Northern Regional Command has announced

The Police believe the information from the public will aid investigations in unravelling the circumstances behind the heinous crime.

Addressing the press today at Tamale today, the Northern Regional Police Commander, COP Timothy Yoosa Bonga said a search conducted at the scene of the crime found four AAA32G cartridges.

According to him, a team of investigators from the Regional Headquarters have been dispatched to the crime scene.

Mr. Bonga also said the Police is working with some informants in the area to arrest the perpetrators.

On 29th, May 2021, the driver of the DCE for Karaga in the Northern Region, Issah Ziblim was shot dead by unidentified persons on the Yamokaraga stretch of the Karaga road.

His lifeless body was found in a white SUV Nissan patrol vehicle with registration number GT 8459-19 off the road around Yamo-Karaga riddled with bullet wounds.

Ziblim Issah who was returning to Karaga after servicing the official vehicle of the DCE in Tamale, was attacked by unknown assailants at Yamo-Karaga where he was shot at close range in the forehead.

Sources revealed that the DCE Mr. Alhassan Yabdow had earlier gone with the driver to Tamale attend some official functions but returned to the area and allow him time to service the Nissan Patrol vehicle.
