GhiSEP issues safety guidelines to curb Mpox spread after four cases reported in Ghana

The Ghana Institute of Safety and Environmental Professionals (GhiSEP) has voiced serious concern following the confirmation of four Mpox cases in the country, urging immediate action to safeguard public health.
In a public statement, the institute emphasized the importance of proactive safety measures across workplaces and public environments to curb potential spread.
GhiSEP called on organizations to adopt comprehensive health and safety protocols, highlighting a set of seven key guidelines developed to protect employees and the general public.
According to the institute, implementing these precautions demonstrates a strong commitment to health and safety, while also reinforcing public confidence during times of health crisis.
GhiSEP further encouraged both public and private institutions to treat the Mpox threat with urgency, reminding stakeholders that early action can prevent wider transmission and ensure continuity of operations in a safe manner.
