Oheneyere Gifty Anti has been chosen as the president of Ghana Feminine Hall of Fame 2019.
The popular TV personality was honoured Saturday, during the induction of some Ghanaian women into the Ghana Feminine Hall of Fame.
The Ghana Hall of Fame is an initiative of the Business Executive Magazine which seeks to advocate women's inclusion in critical thinking and to help many women from all walks of life to achieve their highest goals.
During the event, some prominent women from various business and professional backgrounds from across the country were inducted.
The women, numbering 94 were inducted to take up the challenge of leading the goal of becoming role models in their various societies.
Unanimously, however, the host of the Standpoint programme, was chosen to lead the group as president.
This is not the first time, she had been honoured as it could be recalled that in 2015, she was awarded for her excellence in media and in 2017, she was given a Life Time Achievement Award.
Appreciating the new role assigned her, Gifty indicated “we are all achievers, that is why we have been chosen as the first inductees. But what do we hope to achieve next after such a great honour? Yes, so far we have done well despite our struggles and scars. But what is next? What is the next level we are aspiring to achieve?”, she quizzed.
Meanwhile, Mrs Afua Huoadjeto of Image Consortium and a Deputy Women's Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is to assist her as her deputy, with Doreen Avio of Multimedia as the Secretary and Rev. Francisca Duncan Williams serving as the chaplain.
Inducting the group, The Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Madam Cynthia Morrison charged the women to live up to expectations and leave a legacy that they will be remembered for, long after they are gone.
It is expected that the executive put in place to steer the affairs of the group, led by Oheneyere Gifty Anti will play pivotal roles to become an advocacy tool to help formulate and implement policies.
Oheneyere Gifty Anti recently dedicated her first book, ‘A Bit Of Me’, which sold 500 copies within 3 days and a 1,000 copies in less than a month.
Her book is also scheduled to be released on Amazon on 31st July 2019.
Gifty is a multiple award-winning journalist with over 37 awards to her name. She has been a ‘face’ on television for close to 23 years.
She is married to Nana Ansah Kwao IV, Chief Of Akwamu Adumasa and a journalist with the Multimedia Group Ltd.
