The Greater Accra Police Command is investigating the circumstances leading to the death of a seventeen year old student of Kwabenya 1&2 J.H.S last weekend.

The deceased was stabbed to death on Friday by an unknown assailant in her room.

The unfortunate incident happened after the young girl, Priscilla Oparebea Ntow, had been granted permission from school by her teacher to go home after she complained of severe headache.

The victim’s father Mr Ntow returned home after close of work only to find her beloved daughter’s throat slit with a knife, lying in a pool of blood naked. It is believed that the victim might have been raped before she was callously killed.

The deceased’s father struck by the heartwrenching and gory spectacle, rushed to the police to report the incident.

Speaking to Kasapa News, the Public Relations Officer of the Greater Accra Police Command, ASP Afia Tengey who confirmed the incident stated that the Police Crime Scene experts, soon after the report was made visited the deceased house and took the necessary information that is key to investigating the case.

She disclosed that an autopsy is to be carried on the deceased soon to establish the cause of death.

ASP Tengey added that the police will continue to do all within their capabilities to ensure that the perpetrator is arrested and made to face the law for committing such heinous crime.
