Ben Nunoo Mensah, the President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), has urged the leadership of Hearts of Oak, including Togbe Afede, to enhance fan ownership by facilitating increased supporter involvement in the club.

Speaking in an interview with Accra-based Radio Gold, Nunoo Mensah emphasized the vital role of supporters in the club's activities and highlighted the importance of revitalizing fan ownership.

He proposed utilizing available unsubscribed shares and those yet to be made available to actively engage fans in the club's ownership structure.

"The supporters play a critical role in our current endeavors. There are shares still available for subscription or yet to be floated. Why not take advantage of this opportunity, considering the knowledge and awareness supporters now possess about the club, and invite them to participate by reissuing these shares?" he suggested.

Nunoo Mensah advocated for a systematic approach, calling for the development of a clear plan for share issuance and launching educational campaigns to enlighten supporters about the benefits of ownership.

"Let's create a roadmap for issuing shares and then embark on educating the supporters. With the right approach, I believe they will enthusiastically embrace the opportunity to invest in Accra Hearts of Oak," he stated optimistically.

Expressing confidence in the fans' dedication to the club, he envisioned a scenario where supporters would eagerly embrace the chance to invest in Accra Hearts of Oak.

"I am confident that, given what they've witnessed, the supporters will eagerly come forward to own Accra Hearts of Oak. Every club draws its strength from the community it serves," he emphasized.

Recognizing the mutually beneficial relationship between clubs and their communities, Nunoo Mensah underscored the importance of fan participation in ensuring the enduring success of the club.

As Hearts of Oak prepares for their Matchday 25 clash against Medeama SC at Akoon Park, Nunoo Mensah's call for expanded fan ownership adds a new dimension to the club's ongoing endeavors. Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
