Godfred Donsah will soon be on the move again as he is deemed surplus to requirements at his parent club Bologna but newly promoted side Spezia may offer him an escape route as they have all but agreed personal terms with the player as they negotiate with his club to find a solution.

He was farmed out on loan to Belgium Jupiler Pro League side Cercle Brugge where he made 19 appearances before the league season was annulled.

The midfield enforcer has been linked with moves to several clubs as he does not figure in the plans of coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and may have to move on.

He has been linked with transfers to Cagliari and Spal in the past.

Parma were also intent on signing the midfielder but failed to agree terms with Bologna as they were miles apart in valuation.

The player has a running contract with the Rossoblù until 2022 but could be handed a new lease of life by Spezia who are keen on adding him to their ranks.
