The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has summoned six licensed gold service providers to its head office in Accra as part of a routine compliance review to ensure strict adherence to financial and operational regulations within the gold trading sector.

The directive was issued in a notice under Section 43 of the Ghana Gold Board Act, 2025 (Act 1140). According to the Board, its Compliance Directorate is conducting an assessment to confirm that Gold Service Providers are operating in accordance with the relevant legal and regulatory framework.

“The Compliance Directorate is undertaking a routine exercise to ensure financial and operational compliance with applicable enactments by Gold Service Providers,” the statement noted.

Directors or owners of the affected companies have been asked to report to GoldBod’s head office on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. to assist with the exercise.

The companies named in the notice are Max-Palasco Limited, S-Seven Hills Enterprise, Passion Gold Limited, IBF Mineral Resource Limited, Maabisco Multipurpose Enterprise, and Gastonesin Enterprise.

GoldBod reiterated its commitment to tightening oversight in the gold trading industry and ensuring that operators comply fully with established regulations.

“The GoldBod remains committed to enforcing the laws and regulations governing the gold trading sector in the spirit of accountability and transparency,” the statement, signed by the Compliance Directorate, said.

The compliance exercise forms part of broader efforts by the Board to formalise Ghana’s gold trade and strengthen regulatory enforcement across the sector.
