Google, few months ago announced that it will be shuttering down Inbox by Gmail. The platform was designed to test upcoming Gmail features and will be shutting down next month. However, as shared on Reddit and reported by XDA Developers, there are three more Inbox features that might be making their way to Gmail on Android. These features are said to come from a Google Internal Testing build.
In the screenshots shared we can clearly see the recently rolled out Material Design UI change. However, what's new is the email ‘bundle’ titled ‘Tech News’. This feature, which has been there in Inbox since quite some time, is likely to keep all your email newsletters from publications clubbed at a single place so you don’t have to scroll through the entire mailbox.

The second feature we see in the same screenshot is the ability to ‘pin’ emails. The biggest advantage of pinning an email is that you can keep the most important email on top. It can also act as a reminder whenever you open the Gmail app.

Talking of reminders, the third feature going by the same name is also visible in the screenshot. The ‘Reminders’ feature, which is there in Inbox by Gmail could also be coming to Gmail app on Android if the screenshot is true.

There is no word as to when Google will officially bring these features to Gmail though. However, we speculate it to get announced at the time of Google IO 2019.

Recently Google announced three new features for Gmail users that will help them in correcting mistakes and edit while composing a mail. While two of the features come in the form of shortcut buttons, the third one lets you download messages in a different format from Gmail on the web. The three features mentioned are Shortcut to undo/redo in the compose window, Shortcut to strikethrough text and the ability to download messages as .EML files in rfc822 format from Gmail on the web.
