WAFA spurned a good chance to have taken their destiny in the Ghana Premier League into their own as they blew a two goal lead against basement side Elmina Sharks at the Nduom Stadium.

The match day 28 game which was dubbed the relegation six pointer produced the thrills and entertainment but a point apiece will not help any of the two sides as they battle to avoid the drop.

For Elmina Sharks it appears  the ship has already sailed whiles WAFA will have to win all their remaining matches to have a genuine chance of survival.

WAFA took the lead through a penalty from Henry Oware in the 13th minute after a penalty.

On the 60th minute WAFA added the second through Godwin Segla to make it 2-0 in the 32nd minute.

But the home side did not relent as they fought back viciously as Francis Oteng Gyetuah pulled one back to make it 2-1 in the 34th minute.

Clenn Afful pulled parity for the home side in the 70th minute as WAFA's back line which has been their weakest link all season struck once more.

The point  does not bode well for any of the teams as Elmina Sharks are bottom of the table whiles WAFA are scond bottom.
