Italian forward Guiseppe Rossi joins Celta Vigo on a one year deal from Fiorentina. Rossi who has had previous stints at Manchester United, Levante (loan) and Villarreal is very familiar with the Spanish game.

During his time at Villarreal between 2007 and 2013 he scored 80 goals in 181 games for the yellow submarines before moving to Fiorentina for 11.8 million euros on a 4 year contract.

Giuseppe RossiThe signing didn’t have the desired effect as injuries and inconsistent form held the Italian hit man back. He was sent on loan last season to Levante in a bid to recover his form and gain some playing time. Despite his efforts, Levante ended up being relegated to the Spanish second tier.

Celta Vigo comes as another chance for Rossi whose abilities have never been in doubt for those who have followed his development.
