Hearts of Oak secured a narrow 1-0 win over Karela United in a tricky week 11 Ghana Premier League clash at the Aliu Mahama Stadium, thanks to an early goal from Hamza Issah.

The victory marks the Phobians' third consecutive league win and extends their unbeaten away streak to five matches.

The game got off to an explosive start when Hamza Issah found the net just two minutes after kickoff. His well-timed run allowed him to outmaneuver his marker and slot the ball into the bottom corner, catching Karela United by surprise.

Karela United responded by pressing forward and applying pressure in search of an equalizer but were unable to breach the Hearts of Oak defense before halftime. The first half ended with the visitors maintaining their slim 1-0 lead.

After the break, Hearts of Oak resumed play with confidence, controlling the game and creating scoring opportunities, though they failed to convert them.

As the match progressed, Karela United found their rhythm and launched several attacking moves. However, their inexperience in the final third resulted in wasted chances.

During the six minutes of added time, Karela United appealed vehemently for a penalty when one of their players went down in the box, but the referee waved away their claims and blew the final whistle.

The win takes Hearts of Oak to fourth place with 18 points. They will host Nsoatreman FC in their next fixture.

Karela United, now bottom of the table with nine points, face a challenging away match against Dreams FC in their upcoming game.
