Defender Harrison Afful has joined the Black Stars camp ahead of their 2019 AFCON qualifier against Kenya.

The arrival of the Columbus Crew right back  completes the list of 20 players invited for the assignment to be played in Nairobi.

The team started preparations on Tuesday at their camp base in Addis Ababa and the presence of the 32-years old means Coach Kwesi Appiah is armed cap-a-pie for the assignment against the East African side.

He is expected to participate in  the team's final training on Thursday before they move  to Kenya later in the day.

Afful has been enjoying constant game time in the MLS and scored on Saturday as his side secured a 2-1 win against New York City FC.

He is remains one of the senior players of the current Black Stars players, having made his debut  during the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations.

He joined Columbus Crew from Tunisian giants Esperance de Tunis, where he won the CAF Champions League and several domestic titles.
