Hasaacas Ladies have expressed their shock about the death of veteran football administrator Jones Abu Alhassan whose sudden demise occurred in Ivory Coast after a short illness.

He was part of the Ghana Football Association's delegation that accompanied Hasaacas Ladies to the WAFU Zone B CAF Women's Champions League qualifier which ended in Ivory Coast on Friday with the Ghanaian champions winning.

The club has in a statement on their official website expressed their deepest sorrow about the unfortunate news and commiserates with the family of the late Jones Abu Alhassan.

FULL STATEMENT BELOW:

It is with deepest regret and collective broken hearts that we learnt the passing of Mr. Jones Alhassan Abu.

The Board of Directors, Management, Technical and the entire teams of our dear club, Hasmal are devastated by the news.

The primary thoughts of everyone at the Club is with the family of the late Jones Alhassan Abu, the Tamale City Football Club, Real Tamale United fraternity and the football family of Ghana and else of unspeakable loss of the walking football encyclopedia.

In Jones Alhassan Abu, the football family has lost a great man of wisdom. A man of knowledge, a man of generosity whose life was defined by the love he devoted to the game.

His affinity for the brand of game exhibited by Hasmal Ladies made him an admirer of the Giantess. He followed the team all the way to Abidjan for the WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League qualifiers for which he met his untimely death.

Everyone at the Club has been truly devastated by the news of his sudden demise.
