Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu has lamented the apparent snub of his players in the Black Stars squad ahead of International friendlies against Morocco and Ivory Coast next month.

Accra Hearts of Oak have been in very good form since the former Medeama gaffer took over the coaching job in the second round of the season.

Eight local players were handed call ups by coach C.K Akonnor but none of them came from Accra Hearts of Oak despite their impressive form.

Many Hearts of Oak supporters have argued that their influential midfielder Salifu Ibrahim who has won many man of the match awards should have been handed a call up.

Speaking after his side's 2-0 win against Elmina Sharks, the gaffer complained that he feels bad his players are not getting call ups and hopes it changes in the future.

"I feel so bad that most of my players are not in the National teams, but I believe by the end of the season, we will have them in the team, and things will change".

Accra Hearts of Oak had two players invited to the national U-23 side with Ibrahim Salifu and Daniel Afriyie Barnie earning call ups.

Salifu Ibrahim however was not in the initial call up for the U-23 but after public backlash, he was invited.
