Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara has sounded the alarm for a change in attitude among the players as they brace for the final stretch of the Ghana Premier League season.

The iconic Ghanaian club has endured a dismal run of form this season, finding themselves teetering on the brink of relegation with only three games remaining.

Currently, the Phobians hover precariously, just two points clear of the relegation zone.

Their recent struggles were compounded by a disheartening 2-0 defeat to arch-rivals Asante Kotoko, further exacerbating their perilous position in the league standings.

With their survival hanging in the balance, Hearts of Oak face a daunting task of securing victories in their upcoming matches against Nations FC, city rivals Great Olympics, and Bechem United to avoid the drop.

In a recent interview, Coach Ouattara stressed the urgent need for his team to amass maximum points in these critical encounters, highlighting the necessity for a profound shift in attitude among the players.

"We are going to give it our all. I cannot perform miracles to conjure new players, so I must extract the best from the existing squad. We find ourselves in dire straits, having suffered defeats and slipped down the table," he remarked.

"We have no alternative but to strive for maximum points in the remaining fixtures. To achieve this, we must undergo a fundamental change in attitude.

Our focus is solely on these three pivotal matches, where securing maximum points is imperative for our survival," Ouattara emphasized.

Hearts of Oak currently languish in the 15th position in the league standings, having garnered 38 points from 31 matches this season.

Their pivotal clash against Nations FC awaits them at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, marking matchday 32 of the league season.
