Hearts Of Oak and Medeama fought out a gritty goalless draw at Accra  which did little for the title winning aspirations of home side.

The visitors had the best of the first half with Kwesi Donsu hitting the bar in 4th minutes after his shot to ricocheted of Hearts' Inusah Musah.

Medeama came on the Phobians again, 4 minuths later and it was  Joseph Tetteh Zuta who fired wide after the Phobians failed to clear  Akwasi Donsu’s corner kick.

The hosts started warming themselves into the game  but could not find a way past the Medeama defence, who brilliantly tamed Cosmos Dawda  and curtailed Partrick Razak's clever runs.

Hearts of Oak had their best moment in the 23 minute when Isaac Mensah set up Malik Akowuah on the edge of Medeama’s penalty box –but the latter shot wide.

The former Premier League champions had another opportunity when Patrick Razak raced into Medeama’s goal area but he failed to put the ball at the back of the net.
It was back and forth in the first ten minutes of the second half but Medeama were the better side as they put a lot of bodies upfront.

Second half substitute Edmund Peprah could have broken the deadlock in the 59 minute but he missed the post by inches with a brilliant curler.

The Tarkwa giants intensified the pressure on the home side, forcing Coach Frank Nuttal to bring in Experienced Thomas Abbey to replace floundering Samudeen Ibrahim.

With 15 minutes left on the clock, Hearts of Oak created their first chance in the first half but Agbeshie Dotse after out jumping everybody headed wide Patrick Razak’s corner-kick.

The tempo of the game reduced drastically as both sides looked tired, but despite that Medeama were the dangerous side on the field.

Chances were far and few in the closing stages of the game, and with four minutes of time added on both sides failed to break the virginity of the game.

With clear intent for goal, the Scottish  threw in strikers Dotse and Kouasi to replace Cosmos Dawda and Isaac Mensah and his changes nearly paid of when Kouasi nearly found the opener with a wicked header but was timely parried away by Goalkeeper Antwi.

The result means that the Phobians are yet to win a game after picking two points in two and are yet to score or be scored.

But the Tarkwa Giants  return home happier as they managed to pick four points out of two games.
