Great Olympics may soon have a taste of their own medicine as they are famed for lodging all manner of protest against other clubs after matches have ended on the green turf.

Their city neighbours Accra Hearts of Oak have filed a protest against Great Olympics after their 1-1 drawn game at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The phobians have reportedly lodged a protest against their player Joshua Kwame Rhule who wore jersey number 39 on the day.

According to the details of the protest available to us, the said player played for a club in Benin in 2019 but used a different name while in Benin.

The Olympics player was said to be using the name Koomson Biney but when he registered with Great Olympics he used the name Joshau Kwame Rhule.

If it is true then the player may have committed identity fraud and will be deemed unqualified and may even face further sanctions from the GFA.

Article 33 of the 2019 Ghana Football Association Premier League Regulations clearly states that a team commits an offense punishable by forfeiture of a match where that team fields an unqualified player.

Should the protest succeed Great Olympics will forfeit the single point gained as the maximum points will go to Hearts while three points from their accumulated tally will also be deducted from them.
