Hearts of Oak flop Abednego Tetteh has some lofty ambitions of leading the senior national team the Black Stars to AFCON glory.

The former Bechem United striker cannot even get a place in the Hearts of Oak starting line up since joining the club some seasons ago but is dreaming of leading the Black Stars to end the four decade trophy drought.

Ghana has not won the AFCON title since winning it in Libya in 1982 although the Black Stars have finished as runners up on three occasions in 1992,2010 and 2015.

Tetteh says he dreams of helping Ghana end the nearly forty year wait for an AFCON title even though he is struggling for game time for his club side.

“My highest aim in football is to lead the Black Stars to go and win the African Cup of Nations [Afcon] because since I was born, I have never seen it before [Afcon],” the striker told GTV Sports Plus.

The former Bechem United striker last played for Accra Hearts of Oak in January this year when he came on as a 65th minute substitute against Eleven Wonders.
