Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Emmanuel Nettey has joined Iraqi Division One League side Duhok SC.

The veteran midfielder has joined his new club on a free transfer after ending his stint with Accra Hearts of Oak after the expiration of his contract.

Nettey,30, has signed a one year contract with his new side after agreeing terms with the club.

The defensive midfielder was instrumental for Hearts of Oak last season as they won the historic double in the 2020/2021 season with the league and MTN FA Cup title.

He joined Hearts of Oak on a free transfer in 2019 after departing then Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies and quickly made a name for himself at the capital based club with the arrival of coach Samuel Boadu last season.

Nettey was out and in of the Hearts first eleven this season making five appearances before leaving.
