Umbro South Africa has announced a two-year extension as the official technical sponsor of Ghana Premier League champions, Accra Hearts of Oak.

The partnership extension trails an impressive season for Ghana’s oldest football club. The Phobians earned a treble of domestic titles following successful Premier League and FA Cup campaigns that saw them named automatic Super Cup champions.

“We are pleased to announce that our partnership with Accra Hearts of Oak has been extended for a further two seasons”, says David Ricketts, CEO at Umbro South Africa.

“As a club, Hearts of Oak is one of Africa’s oldest and most distinguished football clubs. The synergy between our proud football heritages is the foundation of this relationship and there have been major successes both on and off the pitch; not least of which was the independent ranking of the Phobians’ now iconic home kit as the best in Africa. Hearts of Oak are great ambassadors for African football, and it is an honour that we are able to continue our association with them.”

“We at Accra Hearts of Oak S.C. are very proud to be associated with the Umbro brand, one of the leading sports kit manufacturers in the world. As we seek to build more commercial partnerships and strengthen existing ones, we are very pleased to be able to extend our partnership with Umbro for a further two years”, remarked Togbe Afede XIV, Executive Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak S.C.

“The upcoming CAF champions league competition and the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season will witness our great club wear the new, thoughtfully designed kits from Umbro. We will encourage our teaming supporters to patronize our new replica jerseys when they become available in due course, as they have done for previous jerseys”.
