Accra Hearts of Oak suffered another friendly defeat in a week after Accra Lions came from a goal down to win by 3-2 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

It was the Phobians first game at the Accra sports stadium since winning the double in the FA Cup final against Ashgold but it become thier second defeat after losing to Togolese Champions Asko De Kara.

The Phobians went down in the early part of the game but reacted well to end the opening half with a 2-1 lead through Daniel Afriyie scored upon his return from the Blacks Stars with Issac Mensah netting the second goal.

It was a good sign for Coach Samuel Boadu having two of his starting attackers being on the score sheet and yet a bad sign seeing two of his central defenders being stretched off due to injury.

Robert Addo Sowah was substituted due to injury and Caleb Amankwah, who moved from holding midfielder role, to replace him was also substituted for similar reason.

Notwithstanding, the Phobians fabs were fed with some artistic display of football from new chap Salim Adam.

However, two goals in the second half by the Divisio One Zone 3 champions secured the victory for the new bees.

The Rainbow team have now picked up a second defeat in four friendlies thus far, winning the other two against Tema Youth and Adabraka Welders. Their initial loss came against Togolese champions Asko de Kara last Monday.

The Double winners will continue their preparations to face Kamsar as the team look to engage in an international friendly in the coming days before the preliminary tie on Sunday, September 19 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
