The goalkeeper's trainer of Accra Hearts of Oak, Eric Amponsah has been rewarded with a plot of land by the chief of the capital of the Ahafo Region,  Nana Kwasi Bosompra for his role in helping the phobians clinch the double.

Accra Hearts of Oak won the league title after beating Asante Kotoko who at some point led by seven points before ultimately losing the league title to them and also missed out on the MTN FA Cup after they were dumped bat the semi finals stage by Berekum Chelsea.

The phobians also edged Obuasi AshantiGold after a grueling MTN FA Cup finals which failed to produce any goals despite AshGold getting some golden opportunities.

After 120 minutes the match headed into the lottery of penalties where the phobians won after beating the miners 8-7.

Eric Amponsah joined the phobians from Medeama SC where he worked with coach Samuel Boadu and Hamza Obeng.
