Samuel Inkoom, the talented defender of Hearts of Oak, has openly recognized the team's concerted efforts to tackle their goal-scoring challenges in the ongoing 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
Throughout the campaign, scoring goals has presented a significant hurdle for the Ghanaian giants. Despite currently sitting in fifth place on the league table, the Phobians have faced difficulties in consistently finding the back of the net.
Inkoom disclosed that the coaching staff has been diligently working to rectify this issue.
He emphasized that the team has been intensely focused on improving their goal-scoring abilities during their training sessions at the Pobiman facility.
"We are placing a great deal of emphasis on goal-scoring during our training sessions. If you come to Pobiman, you will witness it firsthand. The coaches are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to help us enhance our ability to score goals. However, in football, there are occasions when things don't go as planned," Inkoom stated.
Hearts of Oak is set to face Medeama SC, who currently hold the second position in the league, in their upcoming Week 31 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
With their collective determination and the ongoing focus on goal-scoring improvements, Hearts of Oak aims to overcome their struggles and deliver a strong performance in the upcoming match.
