In the wake of Hearts of Oak's dreadful performance in Mali against AS Real Bamako in the first leg of the CAF Confederations Cup, a former player Joe Tagoe aka Bobby Short has made some damning claims.

The phobians were handed a hefty 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Malian side and after the game, a lot has been said of the Hearts team.

He claims that when Hearts of Oak faced Ethiopian side Saint Georges in 2006, players of the Ghanaian club had sex with Ethiopian women at the team's hotel.

Hearts of Oak were heavily beaten in the first leg by 4-0 before they managed to overturn it at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium in the second leg.

In an interview with Ashaiman TV, the former midfielder stated;

“I will tell you guys one secret that caused us dearly when we played St Georges in Etiopia before we overturned the results here in Ghana, we had lots of sex with the Ethiopian ladies we saw around our hotel and this really caused us dearly,”

Tagoe joined Hearts from Accra Great Olympics and spent three years with the capital-based side.
