Captain and goalkeeper of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Felix Annan has officially written to the club to terminate his contract as he has been deemed surplus to requirements.

Felix Annan has not been the same person he was when after match day four in the 2019/2020 league season he decided to have his wedding ahead of a crunch tie against Hearts of Oak.

Before that all was well with him at Kotoko as he had been made the captain after the departure of Amos Frimpong and was also a member of the 2019 Ghana AFCON squad in Egypt.

After his nuptials, he was relegated to the bench and since then has been a bit part player at the club with other goalkeepers preferred to him even with about three coaches taking over the team within that period.

Annan believes he is wasting away at the club and has officially notified the management of the club about his intentions to move on to pastures anew.

The 26 year old has been at the club for nearly a decade although he went on loan spells at WAFA has now run out of patience and want out.

He has been linked with a move to Accra Hearts of Oak where he will challenge Richard Attah for the number one slot.

Medeama are also in the market for a goalkeeper after sacking Frank Boateng while Eric Ofori Antwi is also on his way out.
