West African Football Academy SC captain Konadu Yiadom is close to sealing a transfer move to Norwegian top-flight side Sandjeford Fotball.

The lanky defender is said to be inching closer to joining the Scandinavian side on a long term contract.

He has been linked with Accra Hearts of Oak for a long time as the Ghana Premier League champions held talks with the player's entourage but were unable to reach an agreement.

The player has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Norwegian side as has his club WAFA also reached an agreement on a transfer fee with the Norwegian club.

He is expected to undergo a medical examination very soon before signing a long term deal with his new side.

Yiadom has been rock solid for the Academy boys since joining WAFA from Tema Youth with his performance attracting a lot of big boys in the local league.

In the 2020/2021 season the talented defender made 32 appearances in the league more than any other player.

This term he has played 15 matches for his WAFA side who have at times struggled.
