Black Stars and Holstein Kiel striker Kwasi Okyere Wriedt has been given some extra days off by his team as currently the player is with the Black Stars in Japan for the Kirin Cup.

He was part of the team that played for Ghana at the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and Central African Republic.

In a few days the preparations for the new season will start for the second division soccer team Holstein Kiel. Striker Kwasi Okyere Wriedt will not be there because of his trip to the Ghana national team, the 27-year-old is allowed to take longer vacations.

At the end of this week, players from the second division soccer team, Holstein Kiel will start preparing for the new season in the second division.

First there will be a performance and lactate test, followed by the first team training session next week.

The team will be having  a training camp in Zell am See, Austria at the end of June as there will be only three weeks for the restart of the season due to the World Cup which starts in November.

The main reason for this is the football World Cup taking place in Qatar in winter. The schedule for the German Football League (DFL) is accordingly tight.

Only the schedule of KSV striker Kwasi Okyere "Otschi" Wriedt is even tighter. After Marcel Rapp sent his protégés on vacation on May 17, the 27-year-old had less than two weeks to soak up the sun.

Because on May 26, Wriedt received an invitation to the Ghana national team, Ghana, under the direction of BVB talent coach Otto Addo, had to compete against Madagascar and the Central African Republic in the qualifiers for the Africa Cup.
