Minister of Interior, Ambrose Dery, has said he cannot give Ghanaians any assurance of the specific date the Takoradi Kidnapped girls will be found.

The Minister who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Nandom Constituency in the Upper West Region stated that all efforts to find the girls are in place.

Speaking to journalists, Mr Dery indicated that he is no prophet to guarantee the public of the return date of the victims adding that his outfit is committed to bring some good results.

“[I’m] Interior minister, I’m not a prophet; I don’t lay any clairvoyance. What I can assure you is a commitment to really investigate the matter and get to the bottom,” he told journalists.

The minister expressed optimism, stating “the Ghana Police has what it takes; the professionalism is there”.

He gave the public his word that they will give off their best to make sure they bring relief to the families of the kidnapped girl and the entire Ghanaian public. He urged all to have confidence in them.

“We have a police that is committed, we have an interior minister working under a president that is clear and consistent that is clear and consistent about what he does and delivers. Ghana should have confidence”, he noted.
