President John Dramani Mahama has charged Ghanaians to renew his mandate in the December 7 general because of the numerous development projects he has undertaken as president.

Addressing the chiefs and people of the Dorimo traditional area in the Wa West district of the Upper West region to commence his 3-day tour, the president said though there are still some development gaps, the country has seen enormous improvement in the area of health, roads education and rural electrification.

“You elected me as president to bring development to this country and I have done that satisfactorily. What I ask from you is to renew my mandate in the upcoming elections so do we can continue the development process.”

The president was optimistic that he will win the elections and chided his critics who are calling for change in government, saying “change is happening already. Why call for change when we have been able to transform this country to where we are now.”

The paramount chief of the Dorimon traditional area Naa Sohemwinenye Goreh II commended the president for various development projects that have been bought to the area and appealed to him to work on roads in the district.
