It’s becoming too common for us to see or hear some of our celebrities appealing for financial support with either their health issues or other problems.

And when actor and musician, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win hears this, he is reminded of where he has come from and why he never wants to be in this kind of situation, the reason why he is working as hard as he is.

“I have been there before and I know how it is to be poor. It is not a good feeling when you are poor and that is the reason I am bent on making it now and enjoying later in the future,” he told Showbiz in a recent interview.

According to the father of two, it is his need to never be poor that he added music to his acting career so he can make money from both sides.

“If the movie industry is slow the music can also fetch me some cash and I am glad Ghanaians have accepted the kind of music I do,” he said.

Although he says combining music and movies has not been easy, Lilwin sees it a challenge he has to deal with it now so he can enjoy later.

“I know I will retire sometime to come and the right time to pile up all the money is now. I am making the money now to enjoy later in the future,” he added.

Turning attention to relationships, Lilwin, whose marriage with Patricia Afriyie crashed last year said although ladies give him a lot of attention, his problem is with knowing who the right one is because it was hard to tell whether the ladies were coming because of money or they were in for love.

Should any woman accuse him of impregnating her, Lilwin said he would gladly accept the child if he responsible.

He, however, sees ladies who go make the rounds on radio accusing men of impregnating them as ‘silly’.

“What was your motive when you were making love? The end result was a baby so why would you accuse the man. If the man takes responsibility fine and if he doesn’t move on and take care of the child,” he said.

Lilwin said his dad had more than 20 children and although he wanted to beat that record the economic situation in Ghana is not allowing him to do so.

“I had always wanted to have more kids just like my dad but I think I would stick to about four because the economic situation is not easy,” he said.
