Ebusua Dwarfs striker Jindo Morishita has set an ambitious target for himself as he hopes to score seventeen goals during the second round of the Ghana Premier League.

The Japanese striker who joined the crabs during the second round of  transfer window hopes to at least score in each of the seventeen games in the Ghana Premier League if he gets the supply from midfield.

“We have 17 games for the second round and one game, one goal, that is my personal goal, I will score 17 goals in 17 games,” he told 3 sports.

“Recently I had two friendly matches, I scored two good goals,” he added.

“I am the kind of the striker that runs into space, I need midfielders, defenders to provide me with good passes, recently I have been communicating very well with my teammates and my coaches which is leading to this result and I am very much prepared, very fit and mentally ready,” he added.

The 25 year old striker becomes the first Japanese and Asian footballer to play in the domestic league and will play for the crabs till the end of season.

The only Japanese to work in Ghana football was coach Kenichi Yatshuhashi who worked with Hearts of Oak later Aduana Stars and Inter Allies.

He started his career as a professional football player in Africa with Zambia Super League side FC Muza in February 2019, and played in Indonesia as well.

The Japanese trainer is expected to make his debut for Ebusua Dwarfs against Elmina Sharks on Sunday.
