Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel says that the Daniel Amartey pennant incident did not have any impact in their second meeting with Liecester after Saturday's 1-0 FA Cup defeat at Wembley.

Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey has courted controversy with his exuberant celebration after Liecester's 1-0 win over Chelsea in the FA Cup final.

He was accused for showing gross disrespect to Chelsea after a video of him emerged tossing away the Chelsea pennant after his side's 1-0 victory.

Amartey is seen picking the Chelsea pennant from the table and throwing it behind him.

The video generated a lot of talk with most Chelsea fans bashing him for being disrespectful for his act.

The defender was an unused substitute as his side lifted the oldest cup competition in the world for the first time.

But despite that controversy Thomas Tuchel says he never used that incident to motivate his players for their second clash on Tuesday night which Chelsea won 2-1.

When asked about the video, Tuchel said he did not use it as a motivation tool for his Chelsea players ahead of the game. ‘I did not talk about it; I know there was that incident, but I did not talk about it before the match or in any meetings,’ said Tuchel.
