President of Ghana Premier League side Ashantigold, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong aka Champion says that he is disappointed for pumping his money into AshGold SC.

Things have been bad for the miners in the Ghana Premier League as results have been inconsistent and they keep dropping down the league log.

They lost their opening game at home in Obuasi to Techiman Eleven Wonders by a whooping 4-1 and there has been chaos surrounding their head coach situation among several other issues at the club.

In an interview with Oyerepa FM, Dr Frimpong stated he has more revelations to make in the coming days and adds he regrets pumping money into the club.

"I'm disappointed for using my hard-earned money to invest in Ashantigold,"

The business magnate took over the team from the mining firm in 2018 but his reign has been beset with a lot of scandals and chaos at the club.

Among them include the betting scandal which rocked the Ghana Premier League on the last day of the 2020/2021 season where the miners beat Inter Allies 7-1 which the GFA has launched an investigation but are yet to come out with any punishment.
