Ghanaian winger Bernard Tekpetey has bemoaned his exclusion from the current Black Stars squad that will play in the upcoming 2023 AFCON qualifiers.

The 24 year old winger was snubbed by  the handlers of the national  team despite  his fine form for his side this season.

He helped his Bulgarian side FC Ludogorets Razgrad  claim a second consecutive league  title.

Tekpetey was influential for his  side as he scored 10 goals and provided 12 assists in all competition for his outfit.

In spite of his superlative performance for his Bulgarian side, the Ghanaian winger was overlooked for the Black Stars call up.

“I should have been in this current Black Stars team because of my performance but God’s time is the best” he told Kumasi based Angel FM.

Meanwhile, he has disclosed the Bulgarian Football Federation has been on his neck to switch nationality but declined due to the love he has for Ghana.

“Ludogorets officials made an attempt to convince me to play for the Bulgarian national team but I declined that opportunity because I love my country” he said.

He last played for the Black Stars in 2017 and has since made two appearances.
