Ghanaian football sensation Mohammed Kudus recently shared insights into his childhood passion for local football club Hearts of Oak.

Speaking with Sky Sports, Kudus reminisced about his unwavering support for the historic Ghanaian team while growing up in Accra, the bustling capital city.

Hearts of Oak holds a special place in Ghanaian football history, boasting a remarkable record of 21 Ghana League titles and notable achievements in continental competitions such as the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup.

The club's rich legacy, coupled with its fervent fanbase, left a lasting impression on Kudus during his formative years.

Recalling the vibrant atmosphere surrounding Hearts of Oak matches, Kudus described it as "crazy," emphasizing the deep connection he felt with the team given its roots in his hometown.

“I was supporting a team in Ghana called Hearts [of Oak], a team in the Ghana league. [The atmosphere] it was crazy. It is in the city I grew up in, in Accra, the capital,” he shared.

Despite facing challenges in recent seasons, including their current position in the 11th spot of the Ghana Premier League, Hearts of Oak remains an iconic institution in Ghanaian football culture.
