Ghana and Legon Cities striker Asamoah Gyan says he wants to play more matches for Legon Cities before the Ghana Premier League season ends.

Asamoah Gyan made a return to the Ghana Premier League season after more than a decade playing outside at the start of the current campaign but has failed to live up to expectation.

The former Sunderland ace has been plagued by injuries all season and has made very little impact for his new side.

Gyan who is now fit says he hopes to play a lot of matches for his side before the season ends but concedes injuries have been a real worry.

“I want to play more matches in the Ghana Premier League but injuries have been a problem,” Gyan told Metro TV

“Now that I have recovered I have tried to use the few friendly matches we have played to stay fit.

“I try to stick to the basics to boost my confidence so that during the weekend I will be okay to play,” he said.
