Coach of South Africa Molefe Ntseki has admitted that he was tactically outwitted by Ghana Kwasi Appiah in their Afcon 2021 qualifier opener.

The Black Stars of Ghana defeated the Bafana Bafana Thursday by two goals to nil at a packed stadium.

Ghana opened the scores in the 36th minute through a Thomas Partey swerving carpet shot which flew into the post from about some 20 yards.

With 10 minutes to end proceedings, debutant Mohammed Kudus announced his presence to Ghanaians who didn't take notice of him during the 2017 Fifa U-17 championship in India that he is back with a bang as he let fly from the edge of the penalty box into the roof of the net after going past two South African defenders.

Speaking after the game in his post match press conference coach Molefe Ntseki admitted that he was beaten in the tactical battle by his Black Stars counterpart.

"I have got so much respect for  Kwasi Appiah he was saying it is a war of tactics and it is tactics that win you games.

"At the same time you need to have players can also put in the efforts into the tactics you look at Ghana they put in so much efforts and they got the two goals.

"We are not saying my players did not put in efforts but unfortunately for them they didn't win the match"

"So if you want me to say it Yes Kwasi Appiah has won this tactical war" he expressed.
