Coach of the Black Satellites, Abdul Karim Zito says he would prefer a local coach is named the technical director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The technical directorship job of the GFA has remained vacant since long serving Francis Oti Akenteng left the job earlier this year after the expiration of his contract.

Since then six persons have been interviewed by the GFA with three of them expatriates while the other three a Ghanaians but the FA is yet to come out with the name of their preferred choice.

Coach Abdul Karim Zito in an interview with Kwaku Osei Tv on youTube has pinpoint that he will prefer any of the veteran local coaches to take the technical director job.

“I think Prof. Mintah, J.E Sarpong, Malik Jabir, Bashiru Hayford deserve to be technical director for Ghana football.”

According to Zito they know the terrain better than an expatriate and also boast of the quality to succeed.

“They know the terrain and have that needed qualities to perform well but the final say lies in the power of the president, whether to appoint an expatriate or a Ghanaian.” he added.
