Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Salifu is set to join Kosovan side FC Drita following his departure from Hearts of Oak. The 24-year-old, formerly with Techiman Eleven Wonders, did not renew his contract with Hearts of Oak after it expired.

Salifu played a key role in the team's campaign last season, but renewal negotiations stalled when he demanded a monthly post-tax salary of $2500, which the club could not meet.

This led to a disagreement between the player's agent and the club over the proposed salary.

Following his exit from the Phobian Club, Salifu is expected to join FC Drita, according to a report by Graphic Sports.

During his time at Hearts of Oak, Salifu won the Premier League, two FA Cups, and the Super Cup under coach Samuel Boadu.

As Hearts of Oak prepares for the new season, the club is set to part ways with several underperforming players, having narrowly avoided relegation on the final day of last season.
