Former Ghana youth international Ibrahim Zubairu marked his maiden goal for FK Partizan Belgrade in a narrow 3-2 defeat against OFK Beograd in the Serbian Super Liga on Sunday.

Partizan took an early lead through Aleksandar Filipovic in the 15th minute, but OFK's Ghanaian forward Samuel Owusu equalized three minutes later.

Zubairu restored Partizan's advantage in the 40th minute with a well-placed finish, showing the skills he honed at King Faisal Babes FC.

Despite Zubairu's impressive goal, Partizan couldn't hold on to their lead, as OFK’s Aleksandar Palocevic and Filip Stojilkovic scored in the second half to secure the win for OFK Beograd, pushing them to third place in the league standings with 16 points from eight matches.

Ghanaian defender Ebenezer Annan and midfielder Edmund Addo played full matches for OFK, contributing to their victory.

Zubairu, who joined Partizan from FK Jedinstvo Ub for €500,000 this summer, has now tallied one goal and one assist in four appearances in the Serbian Super Liga.
