Stefan Andreasson, manager of IF Elfsborg, is full of praise for Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo after the player signed a contract extension with the Swedish outfit.

Baidoo committed to Elfsborg until the summer of 2027, showcasing his dedication to the club where he has become a pivotal figure since his arrival from Norway in 2022.

The 24-year-old's contributions were instrumental in Elfsborg's title challenge last season, earning him recognition as one of the best midfielders in the Allsvenskan.

"Since he joined us in the 2022 season, Michael has evolved into one of the Allsvenskan's top midfielders.

Today, we are delighted and proud that Michael has chosen to extend his stay in Borås and with Elfsborg, instead of exploring other options," expressed Andreasson.

"Michael is highly valued within the club, and I believe his decision to extend sends a strong signal about our ambitions.

We eagerly anticipate the start of the 2024 racing season with Michael once again playing a key role both on and off the pitch," he added.

Baidoo, a former Vision FC player, has made a significant impact at Elfsborg, contributing 14 goals and 9 assists in 54 competitive games, solidifying his position as a crucial asset for the team.
