Ranking Member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports and Culture, Hon. Kobena Mensah Woyome says that Ghana should from henceforth appoint competent coaches who come at top fees instead of mediocre ones who take pittance.

Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac has come another a lot of pressure after Ghana's disastrous AFCON 2021 exit at the group stages.

This follows the team's poor showing at the ongoing African Cup of Nations(AFCON)tournament in Cameroon.

Ghana suffered the ignominy of exiting the tournament at the group stages after a 3-2 defeat to lowly ranked Comoros Island.

In a group which contains Morocco, Gabon and Comoros Island, the Black Stars finished bottom of the group with just a point.

"If we have to go for a foreign coach it should not employ a  cheap coach but a very competent one worth the price", he told Akoma FM.

"Our Committee sees the output of Black Stars at AFCON as terrible and unprecedented. Our defeat to Comoros makes the situation worse. The Sports, Youth Committee will be making a statement to Parliament on our horrible performance. I am so loaded but I want to download it at Parliament before coming out", he added.
