Former Black Stars striker Anthony Yeboah has accused the handlers of the national team for selling off slots to the highest bidders.

The former Leeds, Hamburg striker says that the national team of Ghana is now populated with players who have wealthy fathers but that should not be the way as such philosophy cannot help develop Ghana football.

He says most players who get into the various national teams have to part with money before they are handed places in the team as talent and deserving Ghanaians is no longer a criteria.

According the former Yegoala FC owner, talented Ghanaian players have been denied access to play by the powers that be because they do not have rich fathers to fund their entry into our various national teams.

"If your father is not wealthy, you cannot play for the national team: but we do not use this philosophy to develop football," Anthony Yeboah told a group of journalists at the Yegola Hotel in Kumasi

"They have to pay money before they are recognized, so how can our football develop? And the challenge is that all the talented players have been denied access to the national teams and they are missing in action", he added
