Lawyer for Hajia Fati, the embattled New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporter who slapped a multimedia journalist, has pleaded with the Multimedia Group, to ignore his client’s recent unapologetic comments.

Nana Obiri Bohene has called on the media conglomerate to accept his apology instead of his client's expression of battle-readiness to meet them in court over the assault case.

Despite an earlier apology on his client’s behalf, Hajia Fati told the media she was ready to fight the Multimedia Group in court over Ohemaa Sakyiwaa’s assault case.

Speaking on Accra based ClassFM, on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, Mr Boahen reiterated his apology on behalf of his client and urged Adom FM, a staple of the Multimedia Group with which Ohemaa Sakyiwaa works, not to pay any attention to his clients public comments.

He said: “I have spoken to her and she cannot take [the apology] away from me. Even if she herself is not apologetic, looking at the circumstances of the case and as her lawyer, I think that it was inappropriate and unfortunate, and, therefore, I’m rendering this unqualified apology.”

“Once again, I think Multimedia should rather accept my apology”, he said, adding: “If she said so [that she would meet them in court] it was in a bad taste,” he added.
