Team manager of the Black Stars, Ameenu Shardow has revealed that he will be very surprised if Black Stars assistant coach John Paintsil drops the civil suit he has initiated against Patrick Osei Agyemang A.K.A Country Man Songo and some three other media personalities and their various media houses.

The Multimedia journalist has since then rendered an apology for his conduct but the Dreams FC General Manager says that Paintsil should not be swayed by the half-hearted apology since his conduct did not start today.

“I’ll be extremely disappointed in JP (John Paintsil) if he drops this. This did not start today. Something must surely happen to hold people in such space responsible,” he shared via X.

This follows some disparaging remarks the broadcaster made on his popular sports show on Adom TV against the former player.

It will be recalled that the former Black Stars defender was named as the assistant coach of the senior men's national team when Otto Addo was appointed for the second time as the Ghana coach.

Songo and some other journalists accused the former Fulham defender of forging his CAF license, among others.

John Paintsil has since then sued Patrick Osei Agyemang A.K.A Country Man Songo, Veronica Commey, Christopher Nimeley, Saddick Adams and their respective media houses for defamation.

The Black Stars assistant coach among other reliefs is seeking damages of GHC80 million from Country Man Songo, the three other persons, and their respective media houses.
