Ghanaian youngster Matthew Anim-Cudjoe is confident that he will earn a place in the Black Stars squad on the plane for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar in November.

Ghana is in group H alongside Portugal, Korea and Uruguay after beating fierce rivals Nigeria to book a place at the mundial.

Despite never making an appearance for the Black Stars, the former Ghana youth star who now plays in Scotland for Dundee United says that he will be part of the Ghana squad for the World Cup in Qatar.

“Yes of course [I’ll be called for World Cup]. We [Dundee United] qualified for the Europa League so I’ll be part of the squad," Anim-Cudjoe told TV3 in an exclusive interview

“I’m in Ghana training very hard so I have confidence that the Black Stars will call me for the World Cup. I believe in myself so there is no problem. The pitch will decide,”

“I want to be part of this team [Black Stars] for the World Cup in November. That’s my dream for now so I’m working hard to get there,” he added.

He was signed by Scottish Premier League side Dundee United in November 2021 and made his debut in April this year against Hibernian FC.

The former Kotoko and Legon Cities player has played for the Black Starlets and Black Satellites.
