Salis Abdul Samed is one of the great satisfactions of the last RC Lens transfer window . The midfielder arrived from Clermont Foot in the summer and has very quickly established himself alongside Seko Fofana

RC Lens had spotted the Ghanaian a long time ago. In the winter 2018, when Eric Roy was still sports director, he came from the Jean-Marc Guillou Academy with Cheick Doucouré to take a test.

The club could only keep one player but Franck Haise, who had seen the 2 players pass under his cut in reserve, had detected real qualities and Racing did not let go of the follow-up.

The 22-year-old does not disappoint and performs. His well-being is felt outside and on the field.

He comments: “  I feel free on the pitch and in my head. I like defending, helping the team, recovering balls and playing fast forward. In Lens, I evolve as I want to play football. It increases my desire. The Lensois system with three behind allows me to stay in the middle, to create spaces, for me and my teammates, and to take advantage of the intervals."

Coming to Lens, he was exposed to comparison with Cheick Doucouré , who left for Crystal Palace this summer. Not a problem for him: “  I'm happy to be compared to Cheick. We have the same style of play. I was already watching Lens last year, in particular because of the presence of Cheick. I liked the style, the bullet exits. I watched how Cheick moved. Then, when I arrived, the coach and the staff gave me advice on my positioning. I added my style of play to it. ”
